11/08/2018

As the premier event in the safety production industry, the 9th China International Occupational Safety & Health Exhibition (COS+H) was successfully held at Hangzhou International Expo Center from October 15 to 17, 2018. The exhibition was hosted by the National Center for International Cooperation of the Ministry of Emergency Management, and jointly organized by the National Center for International Cooperation of the Ministry of Emergency Management and Messe Düsseldorf (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. This event attracted a total of more than 53,000 trade visitors, an increase of 163% over the previous year. Famous experts and industry leaders met in Hangzhou to make COS+H a “trend-setting” benchmark for the safety protection and occupational health industry.

High-profile exhibitors gathered to showcase a complete variety of safety and labor protection products

Compared with the previous edition, COS+H 2018 was also greatly upgraded with the total exhibition area expanded from 25,000 square meters to 35,000 square meters. 341 exhibitors from 14 countries and regions appeared in the exhibition. COS+H 2018 consisted of four theme zones: comprehensive zone for the safety industry, special zone for safety and emergency equipment, special zone for personal protective equipment, and special zone for engineering construction safety equipment. The exhibition attracted 3M, Dräger, MSA, DuPont, Lakeland, Ansell and other internationally renowned labor protection products brands. Xinxing Cathay International Group, China Coal Technology & Engineering, China Aviation Supplies Holding, China Communications Construction, CNPC Research Institute of Safety & Environment Technology, China Electronics Technology and other domestic central enterprises and large state-owned enterprises also presented their innovative offerings at this stage.

Moreover, exhibitors also include Huawei, Alibaba, International Powered Access Federation, BCSP, Japan Oil, Gas and Metal National Corporation, the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency and Malaysian Rubber Export Promotion Council. The variety of exhibitors type greatly expanded the channels of communication platform and stage a busy and crowded expo.

In addition, the exhibition arranged a special area for the exhibitors from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. The participation of those exhibitors from special apparel fabrics, engineering management software technology, VR protection technology, occupational health consultation and other safety and labor protection related industries made the safety and labor protection products on display more abundant.

A visitor engaged in the manufacturing and safety management of ship and marine equipment said at the scene: "I am here today for the second day because the exhibits are rich. As our company's personal protection plans and emergency equipment lag behind the trend, it is a good opportunity to learn and understand the products. We will pay more attention to the 3M roadshow to learn how to upgrade our products.” “In addition, considering foreign business of our company, we will learn about the products of Dräger, MSA and other brands. We feel that domestic products are very cost-effective, and the gap with overseas is getting smaller and smaller. In general, the products are so diversified here and able to meet different needs of various companies. It is very rewarding.” the visitor added.

Wonderful concurrent events offered an interactive platform for information exchange and practice sharing

Concurrent events included COS+H technical workshop and new product release meeting, which have traditionally been the best interactive platform for learning and communication.

At this year's technical workshop, eBay hosted the “eBay Big Seller + China PPE Leading Brands & Industry Belt Matchmaking Meeting for Buyers and Sellers”, aiming to help potential dealers connect with China's export leading brands. In addition, 3M, the Malaysian Rubber Export Promotion Council, DuPont, SGS, Nanozen, Saifeite and Gunnerys shared new technologies, management cases, risk assessment and market information in the field of safety protection. These activities comprehensively promoted the cross-integration and effective connection of the industry's “production, learning, research and use” and met the exhibitors and visitors with various demands.

The famous Jun Jie Yiming, DuPont, 3M, Uprotec and Fuzhou Chunhui Clothing held 6 fashionable new product release meetings with the form of T-stage show, bringing a stylish and rhythmic atmosphere to the scene.

A visitor who participated in the forum said: “I work at a grassroots safety supervision department of the Sichuan Administration of Work Safety. Today is my first time to attend COS+H's exhibition and forum. The exhibition and the forum are very good. They let me feel that after more than 20 years of development in China's production safety management and supervision, information technology has been significantly upgraded and emergency rescue equipment has become more and more advanced. Labor protection products can satisfy the actual demands of enterprises. Due to the underdeveloped economy of our region, the exhibition and exhibits are very useful to us. We will contact the manufacturers, especially in information technology and emergency rescue."

The 10th COS+H will be held in 2020. The host and the co-organizers will work together to integrate high-quality resources at home and abroad, present more exciting content for exhibitors and visitors and lead the development of the industry.
