A powerful, magnitude 8.0 earthquake struck Wenchuan county of Sichuan province on May 23, 2008. When China Country Manager of North Safety Products heard the news, he got in touch with US headquarter immediately and wish to donate protection products to disaster area. US headquarter were very supportive with this action. The top management immediately decided to airfreight 25,000 protection-level N95 masks and 1500 hard hats( worth RMB200,000) from all over china to Sichuan disaster area. So far, all the personal protection products had arrived at Sichuan by air, and distributed to victims and rescue team with help of Sichuan Administration of Work Safety .

During process of allocating disaster-relief materials; North' partner Mr. Chen heard that personal protection products are for disaster area, he immediately decided to add 25,000 masks and more than 100000 safety glasses aid( worth RMB400,000 ) to show the concern of Taiwan compatriot and provide more protection to victims and rescue team still suffering from aftershocks.

During the interview, North China Country Manager said, "The safety of victims not only touch every Chinese people' heart, but also touch the hearts of our foreign friends. We will do our utmost to help them pull through." North also stated ,"what one enterprise can do is very limited, we wish more enterprise will join in and we will overcome natural calamity with our united strengths"
